Funeral Sunday for Perry Forest Allen
CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Charleston Christian Church for Perry Forest Allen, 74, Charleston, who died Thursday while enroute to St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Burial will be in the Arcola cemetery.
The body will be taken from the Harper-Swickard funeral home to the family residence, 1114 Jefferson St., where friends may call after noon today.
Mr. Allen, a retired farmer and real estate broker, was born Dec. 13, 1883, at Sparta, a son of William E. and Jannie Bordens Allen. He married Nelle Cuppy at her home near Kemp on May 17, 1911. She survives.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Helen Averill, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., a sister, Mrs. Stella Miller, Decatur; a brother, J. R. Allen, also of Decatur; and a granddaughter.
