MRS. HOVEY, FORMER SCHOOL TEACHER, DIES
LOCKPORT—Word was received here today of the death Thursday in DeLand, Florida, of Mrs. Winifred Hayward Hovey, a former Lockport school teacher. Services will be held Monday at Rosehill chapel cemetery at Evanston, Illinois
Mrs. Hovey who was a sister of Mrs. Louis G. Merritt, Lockport, was born in Lewiston, N. Y., a daughter of George C. and Frances B. Hayward. In 1890, she came with her parents to Lockport, where she was graduated from Lockport high school and later taught in the public schools.
On June 12 1900, she married William S. Hovey, who survives her. For some years they resided in Beloit, Wis., and later in Evanston. Besides the husband sister here, she leaves another sister, Mrs. J. J. Ricks, of Plandome, L. I.

Their daughter,
Wilifred Hayward HOVEY was born on 19 Sep 1906 in Three Rivers MI. She died on 15 Jul 1918 in Beloit, Wis. She was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Evanston, IL.
