NAMPA — Services for Addie I. Storey, 96, of 119 Yale Ave., Nampa, who died Saturday in Nampa, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa, by the Rev. Michael Runyon of Nampa First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
She was born Oct. 5, 1884, in Brownington, Mo., to Wallace and Laura Belle Mercer. She was reared and educated in Brownington and graduated from Warrenburg (Mo.) Normal School. She taught elementary school in Montrose, Mo. In 1904, she moved with her parents to North Powder, Ore., where she taught elementary school. She married Ray F. Storey on Jan. 17, 1911, in Baker, Ore. They lived in, Montrose. In 1927, they moved to Nampa, where they owned and operated Storey Feed and Seed Co., until their retirement. Her husband died Aug. 2, 1974. She was a 53-year member of Nampa First United Methodist Church were she participated in the Women's Club Circle No. 4. She was a member of the Women's Century Club; past matron of Montrose Order of the Eastern Star; member of Nampa Chapter No. 30, Order of the Eastern Star; PEO Chapter N; and Iras, Temple No. 40, Daughters of the Nile.
Survivors include two sons, Don, M. of Meridian and Rex F. of Nampa; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
