Dora passed away at Sapp Nursing Home in Plymouth, where she had been a patient for 16 months. Her funeral was conducted on 22 September 1949, by Dodsworth-Piper funeral home of Macomb.
Children of her first marriage included sons Jesse Rollin, Harold Lewis, and Edward Elsworth Bennett, and daughter Dorothy Madelin. Another child died prior to 1900.
