Tony Adams age 53, of Virgie, passed away Friday September 13, 2013, at the Whitesburg ARH Hospital in Whitesburg.
He was born on April 16, 1960, in Pike County to the late James E. and Emogene Meade Adams.
He was a member of the Hemphill Church of Christ and a retired coal miner.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Adams and Phlix Burke, two sisters, Ruth Ann Bentley and Maude Burke.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Rose Adams, one son, Michael (Johnda) Adams of Pikeville, one daughter, Melinda Jean (Dutton) McCarty of Ashcamp, one brother, Kenneth (Noretta) Adams of Pikeville, three sisters, Ruby (Johnny) Bentley of Long Fork, Ivalene Bentley of Elkhorn City, Sandy (Jerry) Wallace of Elkhorn City, six grandchildren, Tra, Tiffany, Brady, TJ, Nikki and Bella. Also surviving is a special friend; Kermit Bentley and all the neighborhood kids.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home, with Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Flower Garden Cemetery at Left Fork of Long Fork.
