Allen Walker Sheppard, 78, of 910 Valley Road, died Sunday at his home.
Born Feb. 12, 1911, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Sidney and Saddle Smith Sheppard.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Alderman Sheppard; one son, Rodney Allen Sheppard, Dublin; three sisters, ,Dalsey French, and Laura Murphy both of Pulaski; Marjorie Scott, Rolling Hill N.C.; two grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Sheppard, of Dublin.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday from Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Thorn Spring Cemetery. Friends may call this afternoon and the family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
