Miriam Lowe Lamb Williams, age 84, formerly of Southern California, died January 24, 1998, at the home of her daughter in Lehi of causes incident to age.
She was born February 24, 1913, in Parowan, Utah, daughter of George Alma Lowe, Jr. and Mary Ellen Heap. She married Isom Richard Lamb, August 10, 1935, in Parowan. Marriage later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple. He died February 2, 1971. She later married Artha Darby Williams, Jr., December 16, 1995, in Orem, Utah.
Miriam graduated from the Branch Agricultural College (now Southern Utah University). She was a teacher, a homemaker, and worked as a clerk for Los Angeles County government in the Road and Health Departments. She served in the LDS Church as a Sunday school teacher and visiting teacher. She was also involved with the 4-H, P.T.A., D.U.P., and as a leader of the Brownie Girl Scouts.
Survivors include her husband, Darby Williams, Jr. of Provo; one son and four daughters, Austin Sherman (Phyllis) Lamb, Ontario, CA; Ellen (Bill) Mayfield, Lehi; Isoma (Dick) Daniels, Alturas, CA; Dixie (Pete) Perkinson, Las Vegas, NV; Marci (Michael) Tivnon, Bakersfield, CA; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorna Alger, Parowan; Thora Lawrence, Cedar City; six step-children, Virginia Corkle, Richard Lamb, Allan Lamb, Vicki Gibaud, Joan Jensen, and Darby Williams, III; 19 step-grandchildren, 23 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral, Tuesday, January 27, 1998, at 2 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 East Main, Lehi, where friends may call from 12 noon until time of services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
