Mrs. Floyd died Saturday, September 8, 2013, in Lubbock, TX.
She was born January 13, 1913 in Waldrop, TX to Norris and Willie (Frost) Wright. She moved to Abernathy in 1940 from the farm. She married Bill Floyd in February of 1956 and he preceded her in death. She was a charter member of the Northside Baptist Church in Abernathy and owned and operated a beauty shop in Abernathy for 45 years. She loved painting, crocheting and playing dominoes.
She is survived by a son, Cecil "Hop" Daniel and wife Corki of Houston, TX, 5 grandchildren, Gary Daniel and wife Gen Gen of Crosby, TX, Roxie Daniel of Lubbock, Charmaine Daniel of San Antonio, TX, Mona Redinger of Plainview, TX and Robin Wright of Buffalo, TX, 7 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, one sister, Willie May Hobbs of Capitan, NM and a sister-in-law, Vallaree Wright of Abernathy.
