Eula Edwards, 70, of Ft Madison, Ia. formerly of the Rutledge vicinity, died this morning, Oct 07 1970, at four o'clock in a hospital in Burlington, Iowa.
Born Nov 15, 1899 at Fairmont, she was the daughter of Martin Lee and Ida Mae (Wilson) Baskett. On Mar 15, 1920 in Edina she was married to Henry Mason Edwards who preceded her in death on May 3 1955. Also preceding her in death were two infant sons; one granddaughter and one sister. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John (Leta) Madden of Pamona, Calif., Mrs. Ray (Lola) Garrett, and Mrs. Everett (Margie) Dent, both of Ft Madison, Iowa, and Mrs. Hugh (Betty) Partridge of Danville, Iowa; eight grandchildren; one brother Charles Baskett of Edina and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Rose) Goodwin of Edina and Ruth Buford of Lewistown.
Mrs Edwards spent her entire life in the Rutledge vicinity until 1955 when she moved to Ft Madison, Iowa. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Ft Madison.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at ten o'clock in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina with the Rev. Gerald Sawyer of Ft Madison, officiating. Burial will be in the Millport cemetery northeast of Edina.
