Alvie Haines, 86, of Bertram died April 21, 2004. He was born June 28, 1917 to Earlie Joseph and Martha Ellen Bishop Haines. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a retired cowboy boot maker and a member of the Burnet Church of Christ. Haines married Fronia Betty Pearl, the love of his life, on April 5, 1938. They had just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary together. ....

Graveside services were held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bertram on April 23. Brother Truman Stinson and Brother Darrell Debo officiated. Arrangements by Edgar Funeral Home.
