She was born Dec. 7, 1905 in Batesville, Ind., the daughter of Albert and Emma Rohe Dirks. She was retired from Hillenbrand Industries, Batesville, Ind., where she was a central files clerk. She married Louis Hermesch Sept. 8, 1926 in the St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville, Ind., and he preceded her in death March 31, 1948.
She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church and of the Ladies Society of the Church. She was also a member of the Margaret Mary Community Hospital Guild, the Golden Senior Citizens Club of Batesville and the Rosie Reds Fan Club of Cincinnati. She was also a volunteer worker for the Margaret Mary Community Hospital.
She is survived by three daughters, Ruth Hermesch and Mrs. Don (Joan) Karbowski, both of Batesville, Ind. and Mrs. Jerry (Helen) Blanken, Cincinnati; one sister, Mrs. William (Monica) Weberding, Batesville, Ind.; one brother, Lambert (Bud) Dirks, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Hermesch, and Irene Dirks; and two brothers, Clementine and Adrian Dirks.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville, Ind., with the Rev. Roman Pfalzer officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Any memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
