Mrs. Barbara Wilkerson Anthony of Roanoke, died Friday October 25, 2002, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Saturday October 26, from Quattlebaum Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with Bro. Ed Grooms, Rev. Pete Razer and Lanita Cotney and Mr. Kenneth Sims officiating. Burial followed in Cedarwood Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Donnie Anthony and wife Jane Anthony, Steve Anthony and wife April Anthony, and Bill Anthony, all of Roanoke; one sister, Mary Frances Sims, LaFayette, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Anthony and a grandson Trae Anthony, Jr.
A Chambers County native, Mrs. Anthony was the daughter of Lewis and Mamie Sanders Wilkerson. She was Executive Director of Randolph County Chamber of Commerce and retired from Liberty National Life Insurance after 32 years of service. She was also a member of Lowell Methodist Church.
Pallbearers were Jared Kirby, Tommy Holmes, Ron Dewberry, John Gunn, Tom Burnside, Tom Gassaway and Tom Dorman.
Honorary Pallbearers were Leisel Carwell, Carol Knight and Dinah Lee.
