Wilburn Gold Welker, 65, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack at 7:30 a.m., Monday while in the yard of his home at 443 Lincoln Street.
For a number of years Mr. Welker made home deliveries and had a cheerful greeting for everyone. He was a member of the LDS Church.
An adopted son of James Albert and Inger Marie Madsen Welker, he was born March 27, 1906 in Ogden, Utah. He had lived in Montpelier since 1918.
Mr. Welker and Evangeline Marie Peterson were married September 26, 1945 at Ovid, and the ceremony was solemnized on September 30, 1963 in the LDS Temple at Logan.
Surviving are his widow and daughter, Mrs. F. Duane (Anna Marie) Wineriter of Salt Lake City and three sisters, Mrs. Hugh M. (Fern) Lyman of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Rozetta Roberts of Mesa, Arizona and Mrs. Kem (Delilah) Loveday of Montpelier. Services were at 1 p.m., Wednesday in the Montpelier LDS Third-Fifth Ward Chapel.
