Anthony H. (Henry) Leava, 71, 3108 Jule street, died Tuesday night at a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Leava was a native of Fairview, Kan., but he had lived most of his life in St Joseph. He was a retired salesman for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Mr. Leava retired six years ago after 25 years of service with the firm. He was a member of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, the Knights of Columbus, and the Veterans Club of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edra Leava of the home, one son, Charles R. Leava, Gladstone, Mo.; one brother Ernest Leava of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister Mrs. Catherine Wagner, Topeka, Kan.; two grandchildren and two nieces.
The body is at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman mortuary.
