A prayer service for David Fonda, infant son of Edgar Fonda Jr., and Melba Devenpeck Fonda, Lykers Corners, who died a few hours after birth Saturday night at the Amsterdam City Hospital, was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, where interment was made in the family plot. The Rev. Fred R. Brown, pastor of the local Methodist Church, officiated. The survivors besides the party are: Two sisters, Carol and Betty, the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Murvin H. Devenpeck, Lykers Corners, the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Fonda, Fonda, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Fonda, Jr., are former Fonda residents and members of the local Methodist Church. The Devenpeck family resided on the Western Turnpike for years, prior to moving to Lykers Corners.
