Morris served with Company E, 135th Infantry, 34th Div. in Africa and Italy during WWII and received the bronze star.
He was a custodian in the Edmonds school district for 30 years. While at Madrona Jr. High, he was honored with a "Mr. Moses Day". While at Woodway High he was asked to give the commencement address for the class of 1972. In 1982 he was one of the first inductees to the "Living Legends" of the Edmonds School Dist.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret; daughter Teresa (John) Dlouhy, grandchildren, Megan, John, great grandchildren, Matthew and Elizabeth, sisters Eunice Berryman, Dorothy (George) Matuska, Ellen (Don) Easterbrook, brother Ken (Shirley) Moses. Preceded in death by his son James and brother Delbert.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at the Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St. Private interment will be at Abbey View Cemetery, Brier. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Alzheimers Research c/o University of Washington School of Medicine RP-10, Seattle, WA 98195. Arrangements made by Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds.
