Arlo Larson passed away peacefully on Thursday Morning, October 19, 2006, at Manor Care in Lynnwood, Washington. He was a longtime resident of Mountlake Terrace, Washington.

Arlo was born on October 13, 1924, often having his birthday on "Friday the Thirteenth". He was the son of Andrew and Gertrude Larson. He was the 16th of 18 children.

Enlistment rules kept him from joining the service until his 21st birthday. He served as a Military Occupational Specialty Mechanic/Auto Wheel Vehicle 965, Tokyo-Yokohama.

After the war, Arlo returned to farming the prairie lands around Garrison, North Dakota. There he met his wife. They were married for 54 years.

He served an electrical apprenticeship through I.B.E.W. local 714 and traveled extensively as a Journeyman Wireman.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Timothy and Gary.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; children, Gordon, Janice, Gaylin, and Arline; and grandchildren, Dustin, Trevor, and Nichole.

Graveside serviceswere held Tuesday, October 24, at Abbey View Memorial Park, 3601 Alaska Road, Brier, WA 98036. A memorial service and reception followed at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 23406 56th Avenue W., Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043.
