Jean Dennis, 81, of Witter, Ark., died Sept. 2, 2013, at the Northwest Medical Center of Springdale. She was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Witter, Ark., the daughter of Lester Virgil and Clora Christine Hooper Keck.

She was a homemaker, a Baptist and the widow of Cavlin D. "Red" Dennis, who preceded her in death on April 9, 2010. She was also preceded in death by one son, Kevin K. Dennis; and two brothers, Wayne Virgil Keck and James Keck.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gina and Bobby Herrington and Renae and Travis Smith, all of Springdale, Ark., and Rhonda Jameson of Palm Springs, Calif.; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, David and Anita Charles of Wichita, Kan.; three granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Jennifer Garner, Amanda Charles, and Christi and Jared Parker, all of Springdale, Ark.; five great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and one step-great-grandson.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with Melissa Brannan officiating. Private interment will be in the Witter Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lois Dennis, Maxine Dennis, Loraine Worthen, Jessie Garrison, Mary Gaskill Neil and Loma Lee Parker.

Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Doctor Austin C. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund, 10401 Highway 412, Huntsville, AR 72740.
