Carpenter
Russell R. Carpenter, 67, of Warsaw Route 1, died at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital at 9:30 p.m. Friday followibng an extended illness.
He was born in Coshocton County on April 10, 1909, the son of Charles C. and Rebecca J. Daniels Carpenter.
He was a member of the Nellie United Methodist Church, the Warsaw Lions, the Coshocton County Clerks and Trustees Association, the Full Gospel Businessmen Association, the OAPCS, and the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
He was a field reporter for the ASC in Coshocton for 20 years, drove a school bus for the River View School District for 15 years and was a Bethlehem Township trustee for 20 years.
He was married June 22, 1932 to Faye I. Baxter who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Nancy) Stackhouse of Canton, Mrs. Robert (Amanda) Wright of Warsaw; two sons, James R. Warsaw Route 2; C Keith, Warsaw Route 3, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Easter of West Lafayette, Mrs Clifford (Pearl) Infield of Warsaw Route 1, Mrs. Myron (Mary) Walters of Coshocton Route 5, two brothers, Ralph of West Lafayette, Marion of Coshocton Route 1 and five grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Nellie United Methodist Church with the Reverends Ronald Davis and Ralph Geiger presiding. Burial will be at the Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be at the Fischer Funeral Home, Warsaw, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, and at the church one hour before the service.
There will be a Lions Club Memorial service at the Fischer Funeral Home on Sunday at 9 p.m.
