ARTHUR STONER - Services for Arthur Stoner, 84, of 519 Byron Road, were conducted June 2 from the MacDonald Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Williams of the First Baptist Church in Howell officiated, with burial in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
Mr. Stoner died May 30, 1972 at the McPherson Community Health Center.
He was born Jan. 11, 1888 in Copenhagen, Ontario, Canada, the son of Abram and Margaret Fugard Stoner. He married the former Ella J. Ferguson on June 17, 1909, who survives him.
He was a resident of Livingston County for 24 years when he moved from Detroit and he lived in Howell for eight years. He was formerly employed as a conductor for the Detroit Street Railway.
Mr. Stoner was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Howell.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Wynne of Royal Oak, one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Ings of Howell; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
