Rev. Joseph Coffee, age 96, of Wellington, died Monday, August 12, 1996.
A longtime resident of Wellington, he was born May 2, 1900 in Blanco to Bonnie N. and Sarah J. Fields Coffee.
He was a retired farmer and served as a minister of the Church of God of Christ for over 70 years.
He was married in 1929 to Roberta Johnson in Avalon. She died in 1971. He later married Ella Armstrong. She died in 1990.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ernestine Baker in 1981 and by a grandson, Charles Coffee.
Survivors include a sister, Naomia Morgan of Fresno, CA and two grandsons, Robert Coffee of Wellington and Joe Kilgore of Tacoma, WA.
