GLADYS BEVERFORDEN, 89, of Fort Wayne, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Christmas Eve day, Dec. 24, 2010. She was a gentle, caring person who loved all of God's creatures. She was employed by General Electric for 46 years and retired from her position as executive secretary in 1987. She is survived by three sisters, Gloria Killion, Ruth (Jack) Barth and Jayne Beverforden; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alma Beverforden; sisters, Jeannette Butz, Bernice Fennig, Virginia Robbins, Florence Brubaker; and brother, Clarence Beverforden. Service is 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling two hours prior. Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to First Missionary Church.
