Owen Griffin Wright was the son of John Wright, Sr. and wife, Drucilla Griffin. Owen married Mary Suttle the dau. of William Suttle,Jr. and wife, Elizabeth White. Owen and Mary married on 22 July 1833 in Perry County, Alabama. They had eight children; twins, Eveline and Adaline, then Amena Elizabeth, Mary Ann, William G., John Owen, Thomas Harrison, and Leroy Mitchell Wright.
Owen's parents and some siblings moved to Union Parish, Louisiana. There were letters between the families that we still have access to. Mary's parents stayed in Perry County. Even though Owen and Mary lived in Perry County they lived close to Fellowship Baptist Church and members of the family are buried there so there is a good chance they are also buried there.
