"AT" was a member of a pioneer family in this area and well known resident of Cokato township. He had enjoyed good health until March 1943, when he suffered a stroke from which he never fully recovered. His parents were charter members of Stockholm Lutheran church and was among the first children baptized in that church.
He married on Jan 19, 1892 at Hudson, WI to Myra Mae Guinn of French Lake, and the couple spent their entire married life in Wright county. They had 11 children: Hazel, Mrs. L.D. Heter, Ruby, Mrs. Julian Erickson, Howard, Lola, Mrs. F.L. Ausman, Ethel, Mrs. C.R. Bassett, Genevieve, Mrs. J.B. Gale, Russell, Alta, Mrs. M.H. Grassinger, Clinton and Stanley and Myrtle who preceded him in death.
Mr. Rustad was known as one interested in Indian lore, as a collector of Indian relics, and as a person capable of conversing in four languages.
He married Edna Scott on Dec 28, 1943.
