Myrtle had traveled to Crosby, ND to visit her aunt, from there she went to Sweet Grass, Montana where she met her husband Ralph Neuman, later going to Canada where they were married on July 9, 1913 at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

She died at her home at Gull Lake, Sask, Can. A short funeral service was held from her home at Gull Lake. From there her body was brought to Cokato where the final funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, June 27, from her parents home. Internment was in the village cemetery.

The funeral (in Cokato) was one of the largest ever held in the vicinity. She was 20 years, 9 months and 3 days old.
