Married first Amber (1879-1954), father of several children. In 1910 R. Wesley abandoned his family on account of too many of his wife's family had moved in. He was arrested and sent to Elmira reformatory, his wife went to the Eaton poor farm and the children went into institutions.
In 1914 he remarried in 1918 he lived in Syracuse and later lived down state.

Amber married second George W. Lloyd and had a son Edward W. Lloyd(1914-89) and lived in Syracuse
