Lucille "Cele" Stauber, age 88, of Laona passed away peacefully on Aug. 25, 2013. Born in Laona on April 7, 1925, Lucille was the youngest child of Louis and Harriet (Hansen) Bocher.

A graduate of Laona High School, member of the class of 1943, Lucille married Norbert "Stub" Stauber on Sept. 30, 1943. Together they raised nine children.

A loving wife and mother, Lucille was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the Laona Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid Society. She also worked at the Laona State Bank for 19 years before retiring in 1987.

Among survivors are her children: Norbert (Cathy) of DePere; Linda White of Green Bay; Nancy (Don) Schroder of Rhinelander; Barbara Cleereman of Cavour; Lucy (Dale) O'Keefe of Appleton; Steve (Juli) of Wisconsin Rapids; Jeff (Shelly) of Green Bay; and Gregg (Debbie) of Laona. She is further survived by 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Dr. Darol Johnston. Her life was further enhanced by several special friendships.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; her youngest son, Todd; and grandson, Christopher; her parents; brothers Phillip and Robert Bocher; sister Jean Johnston.

Family will receive visitors at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home located at 302 S. Lake St. in Crandon from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Farr officiating. Burial to follow at the Laona Cemetery.
