Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Krishen Persaud officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Mrs. Buck was born July 3, 1916, in Newcastle, Neb., the daughter of Carl M. and Bertina (Rosendahl) Lukken. She was raised on a farm near Newcastle and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1935. She moved to Sioux City in 1935.
She married Kenneth Buck on August 4, 1935, in Maskell, Neb. He died May 31, 1971, in Sioux City.
She was employed as a private secretary for the vice president of Johnson Biscuit Co. for several years. In 1971, she became the resident director at S. Joseph's School of Nursing, retiring in 1981.
She was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary and Sioux City Senior Citizen's Center.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Connie and Rod Moore of Dakota Dunes, a sister, Grace Meyers of South Sioux City; a brother , Odin "Dinnie" Lukken of Elk Point, S.D.; two grandchildren, Mitzi Benson and Piper Perkins; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Norel, Leroy, Amos, Darrell and Virgil Lukken; and a sister, Deloris Croy Paulson.
Memorials may be directed to St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church.
