Carsonville Leader 'Died Tuesday'
... Carsonville .— Frank-Reed, -71, prominent real estate dealer for nearly 50 years in Sanilac county,
died Tuesday in Battle, Creek Sanatorium, after several months illness. Mr. Reed was born Feb. 27th, 1880 in Bridgehampton township and had been a lifetime resident of Carsonville community.
He married Carrie Ennest- of.Applegate on Feb. 19th, 1903.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 2':00 p. m. from the Carsonville Methodist church with
Rev.. Leslie Collvet, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was made in; Washington cemetery.
Mr. Reed,--. long prominent- in civic affairs of the community, was President of Carsonville village
and served for .several years on the Council. He was a .member of the Carsonville school board
for 16 years. He enjoyed collecting history of the county and was very well posted on the early settlers
of the county...
He is survived by his widow [Carrie], two sons, Lowell Reed, Charlotte; Elwyn Reed, Battle Creek; one
sister, Mrs. Laura Barr, Forester, and four grandchildren.
