Alice was probably born about 1510 in Suffolk, England. She married Richard Barker, probably in Nayland, Suffolk. Alice and Richard had six children that survived to be adults. Richard owned a mill in nearby Wormingford, and was quite prosperous. Alice died in December, 1560 and was buried in the churchyard at St. James Church in Nayland on the 27th. Richard died the next year.
