Dodge City,KS--Edna Marie West,76 died Feb.5,1961 at St.Anthony's Hospital after a six week illness. She was born Feb.24,1884 at Bardstown,Ky. and came with her family to a homestead 12 miles southwest of Dodge City in 1886. She grew up and taught school there. Married Rolland L. West in April,1905, and lived there ever since. Rolland died on Oct.11,1956.

Survivors are 8 daughters, Marie Myers of Pueblo,Colo, Marguerite Ackley of Dodge City,KS ,Kitty Broadie of Ft.Worth,Tx, Mary Kendall of Garden City,KS, Louise Baker, Betty Stickney both of Dodge City,KS, Ruth Van Gilder of Quincy,Calif, May Nelle Perkins of Pueblo,Colo; three sons; Hays of Richmond,Calif, Dennis of Wichita,KS and Andy West of Dodge City,KS; brother,Beverly Bealmear of Dodge City,KS; two sisters, Kate Gronniger and Sadie Archer of Dodge City,KS; 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
