Benny Jack Allison, 84, died on Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Chattanooga, TN.

He was born on October 12, 1928, in Big Coon Valley near Stevenson, AL, and was a long-time resident of Chattanooga, TN.

Benny Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war, he worked at DuPont in Chattanooga, TN and then for many years at K-mart, where he eventually retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Hill Allison; mother, Arie Steele Allison, step-mother Bobbie Wynn Allison and father, William C. Allison; sister, Dorothy Allison Dean and brothers, Will, Hub and Duck Allison.

Mr. Allison is survived by his sons, Randall Clay Allison and Patrick Steven Allison, both of Chattanooga, TN. He also has many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Lane Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 3 p.m. with burial in Chattanooga Memorial Park (the Duck Pond).

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 5-7 p.m., and one hour before the service Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer's Association at 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 22, Chattanooga, TN 37421, Hospice of Chattanooga at 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416
