William James, eldest son of Ambrose and Annie White, was born in White Oak Springs, Nov. 25, 1903 and departed this life April 2, 1918, at the age of 14 years, 4 months and 9 days, after one weeks illness of pneumonia.
All that loving care could do was of no avail. William was a true type of boyhood, strong, loyal and true, with a kind disposition and had a smile for everyone. He was a loyal member of the Boy Scouts and was keenly interested in things patriotic. He was also interested in religious things, always being in his place at the Methodist church and Sunday School. He was the kind of a boy who could be depended upon everywhere and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his departure a grief stricken father, mother, one brother and three sisters, who have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
