Eleanor M. Amadon Weatherwax, 90, of Blooming Grove Drive died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Poestenkill, she was daughter of the late Addison Amadon and Mary Walsh Amadon and wife of the late Myron Weatherwax. She was raised in Poestenkill and resided in Averill Park, North Greenbush and the Troy areas all her life and attended Averill Park schools.

Mrs. Weatherwax was a clerk at Commodore Cleaners in Troy for many years and previously worked at Samaritan Hospital in housekeeping.

She was a member of the Hilltop Home Bureau and enjoyed crocheting, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, word search and playing rummy.

Survivors include her beloved children, Carolyn (Benjamin) Pinzer, Troy and George (late Elizabeth) Weatherwax, North Troy; a step sister, Grace Holland, Troy; a step brother, Allan MacRoberts, Wynantskill; her daughters-in-law, Patricia and Barbara Weatherwax; her 12 loving grandchildren; 19 cherished great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, David and Robert Weatherwax; a brother, William Amadon and a granddaughter, Donna Pinzer.
