THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Jun. 23, 1994, p.6A. 'Jackie Monroe Landers, 64, of Powderly died Tuesday, June 1 [21?], 1994 at his residence. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Landers was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Frogville, OK, a son of Charles William Ralph and Elsie Banks Landers. He was a member of the Bounds Baptist Church. He served in the army during the Korean Conflict and was a longtime employee of Southern Pacific Railroad and was a carpenter and a welder. He is survived by two daughters, Darlene Stewart of Lufkin and Sharon Landers of Mesquite; a son, Jimmy Monroe Landers of Paris; and seven grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Stewart, Josh Butler, Willie Hodges, Robin Butler, Joe Lawson and Gus Foreman.'
