Bessie Willean Potts Hundley went to be with her Lord on August 22, 2013. She was born February 7, 1929 in Crestwood Kentucky to the late William Freeman Potts and Bessie Russell Potts.

In 1950, Mrs. Hundley married Kenneth Baker Hundley and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage before his death in 2011. She was a homemaker for her husband and their three children, a daughter, Mary Kathryn (David) Bowles and two sons, Ken (Susan) Hundley and Don (Jayne) Hundley, all of Madisonville.

One of eleven children, she is survived by four sisters, Dorothy King of Crestwood, Martha Long of LaGrange, KY, Hazel (Steve)Trummer of LaGrange, and Mary Anna (Fayette) Stepp of Lexington, KY; three brothers, Billy (Betty) Potts of Crestwood, Joe (Betsy) Potts of Louisville and Andy (Yvonne) Potts Of Louisville. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence Potts, J.C. Potts and Russell Potts.

She loved spoiling and spending time with her eight grandchildren; Melanie (Drew) Mays, Jason McKinney, Amy (Jeff) Shipp, Micah Hundley, Hannah Hundley, William Hundley, David Hundley and Mary Lesley Hundley. She was also blessed to enjoy seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hundley loved to stay busy, always needing a project. She was a talented seamstress and loved sewing beautiful things for her family. During their life together, she and her husband spent many hours together working in their flowers and making sure the yard always looked perfect. But all the hobbies had to wait when UK was playing basketball. There was no more avid fan than she.

As a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church, Mrs. Hundley regularly attended the JOY Group and the Opal Audas Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the West Broadway Homemakers Club.
