Adam was born in Germany to parents John & Margaretha Kranz. When he reached the age of 16 years, Adam emigrated to North America on the ship "Rhein". He arrived in New York City on July 06, 1874.
Later he headed north to Canada and settled in the Region of Waterloo County in the province of Ontario.
He married Catherine Germann on Aug. 31, 1887 in the town of Waterloo. Marriage Register #012146.
They raised 4 children;
1. Julius Kranz 1888-
2. Charles Robert Kranz 1892-1966.
3. Arthur John Kranz 1896-1958.
4. Edith E. Kranz 1900-1949.
Adam died of Arterio Sclerosis (Heart Disease) at the age of 50 years, 3 months and 5 days. Death Register #029952.
