Clinton Daily Democrat, May 14 2001 - Charles Benton Seiner, son of Earnest and Edna Mae Graham Seiner, was born May 16, 1928, in Slagle, Polk County and died Friday, April 27, 2001, at Golden valley Hospital, Clinton, after a lengthy illness at the age of 72 years. Charles left Missouri in 1947 and made it as far as Salt Lake City, Utah, where he met Norma Maxine Jones, who would become his wife of 53 years beginning later that same year. They moved back to Missouri in 1948 and lived on a farm near Bolivar, until he and Norma moved to Kansas City in 1953. Charles was a manager and owner-operator of several service stations over the next 20 years in Kansas City. In 1971, Charles and his family bought a farm and moved to Chilhowee. In Chilhowee, in addition to farming, he was the operator of the Farmer's CO-OP and Tire Center. After 17 years in Chilhowee, he and Norma moved to Clinton and they lived there until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Earnestine Crain; one brother, Willard Seiner, and his son, Roger Seiner. He is survived by his wife, Norma, of the home; two sons, Randy Seiner and his wife, Linda, Leawood, Kansas, and Ronnie Seiner and wife, Krista of Clinton; one daughter, Linda Elliott of Moberly; one brother, Robert Seiner and wife, Darlene, Bolivar; six sisters, Opal Keeling, Ruth Bays, Joanne Wilson, Dorothy Butler and husband, Roy, all of Bolivar, Lorene Bays of Humansville, and Helen Anderson and husband, Clark of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and five grandchildren, Melinda Elliott, Melissa Elliott, Charlotte Elliott, all of Moberly, Amanda Seiner of Warrensburg, and Jason Brooks of Clinton. Funeral services were held at the Vansant-Mills Chapel on Monday, April 30. Burial was in the Englewood Cemetery.
