Lois Boyette Flowers, 99, passed away on Feb. 2, 2013. Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Marsh Swamp Original FWB Church with the Rev. Ray Wells officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.


Lois was born on Oct. 27, 1913 in Rock Ridge. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca Boyette. She was a homemaker and loved to go and eat out. Lois loved her family.


Lois is survived by a daughter, Linda Flowers Evans and husband, Edward, of Melbourne, Fla.; granddaughter, Susan Evans Wheeler and husband, Eric, of Melbourne, Fla.; grandson, Craig Matthew Evans of Rochester, N.Y.; great-granddaughter, Tessa Noel Wheeler of Melbourne, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews who have fond memories to cherish.


Lois was followed in death two days later by her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Flowers of the home.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Berry "Pete" Flowers; sisters, Frances Boyette and Beulah Hinnant; and brothers, Guy, Roy, Larry, and Hugh Boyette.
