KOSCIUSKO — Marion E. Welsh Abt, 92, of Sallis passed away August 12, 2013, at her home. Visitation was Thursday, August 15, 5-7 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. on August 16 at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Union Cemetery. Rev. John Ballard will officiate the services.
She was of the Methodist faith. She was a good cook and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by five sons, James Abt and Robert Abt, both of Anahuac, TX, Arnold Abt of Little Rock, AR, John Abt of LaPlace, LA, and Charles Abt of Lyndonville, NY; three daughters, Donna Cotten of Sallis, Betty Bailey of Byram, and Janet Carol Abt of Pearl; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman P. Abt; parents, Floyd Charles and Delilah Gillis Welsh; brother, Jack Welsh; and sisters June Barenstein and Violet Edmister.
