Albert BOOKHOUT - WWI Canadian Expeditionary Forces - Regimental #: 633822 Albert served in the 154th Overseas Battalion as a "Sapper" and saw service in England and France. His original Attestation Papers indicate he joined the forces on March 20, 1916. He was discharged on March 26, 1919. He was a Private. The military records indicate his date of birth as Sept 16, 1877, but the 1901 Finch Twp census shows it as August 16, 1876. Birth location: Berwick, Finch Twp., [Stormont Co., Ont.]
His next-of-kin was listed as Addie Bookhout, his daughter. He was a widower. He did not sign his papers but marked his "X" where his name was written by the admitting officer/magistrate. He was 5' 6" in height with a medium complexion, blue eyes and brown hair.
He drafted a will which listed his deceased wife, Elizabeth Bookhout. The best information is in the list of children, three boys and four girls.
