Mary was a day care provider for many children in the Fort Branch area for many years. She retired from the Head Start Program. She was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who truly enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary volunteered at Little sisters of the Poor and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Tieken; brothers, Tommy, Pete and Red Mosby and sister, Kathleen Weimer.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Tieken (Melinda) of Bloomington, IN and Mark Tieken (Cindy) of Brownsburg, IN; daughter, Susan Spradley (Phillip) of Evansville; grandchildren, Tai, Damien and Zach Tieken, Melissa and Megan Spradley, Jake, Josh and Nate Tieken, Anna Spradley, Chad Mullen and Holly Maxwell; several great grandchildren; brothers, Don Mosby (Martha), Bill Mosby (Rosie) and Jim Mosby (Barbara); sister, Bernie Wade (Don) and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday November 11, 2012 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with a memorial service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue from 10:30 – 11:00 am Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Rd., Evansville, IN 47710.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am Monday November 12, 2012 at the church with Fr. Paul Ferguson officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery
