His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lela Whitten, Rayville, one son, Johnnie Whitten, two daughters, Betty Faye Whitten and Mrs. Bobby Hendrix, both of Rayville, six brothers, Bruce, Start, La., Isarel, Start, Fred, Tullos, Alonzo, Borger, Tex., Mayo, Monroe, and John Whitten of Little Rock, Ark., and one sister, Mrs. L. H. Taylor, Start.
