Services for Rev. Abram Carmona, 48, were held Friday, September 12 at the Templo Getsemani in Brownfield. Visitation was also Friday at the church.

Services were held in Cuero on Sunday, September 14 at El Buen Pastor Christian Church. Visitation was also Sunday at the church.

He passed away Thursday, September 11, 2003 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Mr. Carmona was born to Miguel and San Juanita Vasquez Carmona on January 12, 1955 in Cuero. He moved to the Brownfield area in 1991 from Victoria where he had lived since a child. He married Josie Lopez on August 21, 1976 in Cuero.

He had served as pastor of the Templo Getsemani since 1991 and was currently serving as Presbyter of the West Texas District of the U.P.L.C.I.I.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert, and one sister, Rachel.

Mr. Carmona is survived by his wife, Josie; daughter, Jessica Carmona; brothers, Rev. John and Jesse, both of Victoria, and Mike and Manuel, both of Cuero; sisters, Martha Sanchez and Marine Munoz, both of Cuero; and mother-in-law, Ofilia Lopez of San Angelo.

Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield, 806-637-8993.
