Charles H. Bickel
ARCOLA, Ill. — Charles Henry Bickel, 67, of Arcola died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, with Rev. Wesley Groff officiating. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bickel was born July 24, 1903, in Pittsfield, the son of Richard and Lulu Young Bickel. He married Beulah Wilkins April 21, 1925.
Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Vogel of Arcola; two sons, William of Charleston and Charles Jr. of Pompano Beach, Fla.; one brother, Floyd of Kinley Park; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Mulliken of Arthur and Mrs. Everett Griswold of Mendota; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bickel was a retired carpenter and brick mason.
