Born in Folkston, GA., her parents were Tyler Jackson and Maggie Harris O'Quinn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Colton Daniels; her parents; and two sons, James Colton Daniels, and John Glen Daniels.
Dorothy was a member of Palmetto Pentecostal Church. She loved shopping and yard sales, and was a retired supervisor from Satilla Community Services.
Survivors include 3 children and their spouses, Glenda Taylor (Glen), of Folkston, Charles W. Daniels (Peggy), of Waynesville, Denny Hugh Daniels (Tempie), of Lulaton; a daughter-in-law, Renee Daniels, of Waynesville; 10 grandchildren, Hughie Herrin, of Folkston, Angela Louret (Zach), of South Carolina, Tammy Lee (Norman), of Hoboken, Kenneth Wayne Daniels (Cynthia), of Lake City, FL, William Charles Daniels (Christie), of Statesboro, Tommy Daniels, of Hoboken, Christy Baudon (Dr. Derek), of Augusta, Jennifer Lynn Daniels, of New York, Colt Daniels, of Waynesville, and Cheyenne Daniels, of Waynesville; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter, Destiny Brooke Daniels; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Johns, of Riverside, Mildred Daniels (Dennis), of Waynesville, and Mary Lou Turner, of Fernandina, FL. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday (August 17, 2013) at 10AM at Palmetto Pentecostal Church with Rev. David Inman and Rev. Bill Johns officiating.
Burial will follow in the Palmetto Pentecostal Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Norman Lee, Benjamin Lee, Kenneth Daniels, Travis Daniels, Logan Daniels, Tommy Daniels, Charlie Daniels, Hughie Herrin, Colt Daniels, Aaron Daniels, T.J. Cone, Billy Daniels, and David Shardon.
