Daily Report newspaper, August 19, 1965, p 1-10, Col. 4: Mrs. Sanborn, Upland---Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Nellie R. Sanborn of 1375 N. San Antonio Ave., who died Wednesday at a Pomona convalescent home. She was 80. A native of Iowa, Mrs. Sanborn originally settled in the Ontario-Upland areas in 1888, and lived alternately in this community and Northern California. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor St. Clair with whom she made her home in Upland; Mrs. Louis C. Bourget, La Puente; a sister, Mrs. Ralph Nicholson, Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted by Rev. Harry H. Gratchen of Pilgrim Congregational Church, Pomona, at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona. Interment will be at Pomona Cemetery.
