Arthur Lott Young was brought to Concord Township, Delaware County, OH, by his parents, Jason C. & Lovina Christina (Nichols) Young. After having lived in Auglaize County, OH, the Jason Young family had moved to Delaware County from Stokes Township, Logan County, OH, shortly after the 1900 Federal Census. Father Jason died in 1902 leaving 15-year-old "Lott" (he was NEVER called "Arthur") to run the family farm along with his mother and younger brother Ernest Roscoe Young. On February 23, 1908, Lott married Alice May Rader and the couple parented the following three children: Dorothy Luella Young, Paul Victor Young (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery), and Bernice Amelia Young (also buried at Oak Grove Cemetery). At some point after 1930, Lott sold the Concord Township family farm and moved to the nearby town of Delaware, OH, where he and Alice resided for the remainder of their lives.
