Mrs. Esther C. Schnell, 84, of the Extended Care Facility, Appleton, died there on Wednesday, June 20, 1984, after a short illness.

Mrs. Schnell, formerly of Brillion, was born Jan. 15, 1900 in the Town of Brillion to John and Emma Bastian Wolfmeyer. She married Harvey Schnell on May 5, 1920 in Brillion. Mrs. Schnell was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Appleton.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. James(Ruth) Beirne of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Alfred(Betty)Schaick of Oshkosh; a son, Arlin of Appleton; two brothers, Alvin Wolfmeyer of Oshkosh and Nelson Wolfmeyer of Kewaskum; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and a brother.

Friends called at the Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion. Services were held at the funeral with Rev. Charles King officiating. Burial was in the Brillion City Cemetery.
