Mrs. A. J. Shockley residing two miles south west of Kempton, died Monday evening at her home after an illness of but a few days, her death being due to heart trouble from which the deceased had been suffering for some time. Mrs. Shockley is survived by her husband and one child, Mrs. Alf Orr, a married son. She was about 55 years of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Rector and was well known in the western part of the county. She was a member of the Baptist church and was held in high esteem. There is the greatest sorrow expressed by her husband, during the past few months. He has been in a condition that is alarming. Funeral services for Mrs. Shockley will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock.

The funeral of Mrs. A. J. Shockley which occurred at Prairie Chapel in Clinton County at 10 a.m. Thursday was highly attended. The burial was at Prairie Chapel Cemetery. The account of death which was published in Wednesday's issue of the Tribune was in error where it stated that Mrs. Alf Orr was an only child. She is survived by her husband and one son, he being Verrie Shockley, a son-in-law of Alf Orr. The husband is sorely affected with cancer and cannot live but a short time. Among the out of town relatives in attendance were George Starkey and wife; Jack Anstey and family of Gary and Sarah Bristow and daughters, Esther and Gladys.

FUNERAL AT PRAIRIE CHAPEL
Preached By Rev. Clem Ricketts and Was Largely Attended.
Mrs. Luelen Shockley, nee Rector, wife of Andrew Jackson Shockley, died at the family home south-west of of town Monday night after a short illness, suffering with malaria fever.
Mrs. Shockley was about 55 years of age, and her demise is mourned by a host of warm friends. She is survived by her husband and one son, Verrie, and a brother, Columbus Rector; six children having preceded their mother to the promised land.
The funeral services were held at the house yesterday forenoon at 11 o'clock, and the burial was at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
